This was a big thrill for myself in my very first ever, bonspiel as a rookie curler! I have to especially thank Dennis Buck for my recommendation to Don Kawaja, and to Don for taking such a gamble on a relativity new, and unknown player! I was full of nerves, however, on my very first shot of the game, (second, Lorne McDonald whom I had just met), said “That’s going to be hard to beat” as I released the stone. “We really hit it off as a team, and I will always cherish that moment!” Thanks, Don, Dennis and Lorne!
